“We want every abused, abandoned, neglected, and stray animal to know they are not walking alone. We are here to carry them until they can walk on their own. That’s the essence of our name.”

– Kelly and Monica, Co-Founders

Paw Prints in the Sand was founded on the premise of the poem ‘Footprints in the Sand’. We carry animals in need during the saddest and most troublesome times of their lives.

As a nonprofit organization, PPITS deeply values the trust that has been placed on us. We are committed to best practices, governance, accountability, and transparency.

Monica is an avid animal lover and activist with over 25 years of experience in animal care and behavior. As the Co-Founder and Treasurer of Paw Prints in the Sand, she oversees operations, adoptions and financials.

She also volunteered with R.E.A.L.  Rottweiler Rescue, Rottie Empire Rescue, GEPDA/Righteous Rotties Rescue, and I.C.A.R.E Dog Rescue among others.
